The video was titled "Closing Shop at the End of the 2023 Drag Racing Season." In the same vein as in 1956, "the opportunity to develop and operate a multi-use facility with drag racing as its primary focus provides an exciting possibility for our family," with the additional benefit of "the potential to make a meaningful contribution to the community, wherever we may be."

The speedway had a makeover in 1988 that cost $4.2 million and enhanced the seating, pit facilities, and parking areas. During the time that the renovations were taking place, Bandimere reportedly made the following statement on the website: "This speedway was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream of dad and mom." I found this quote to be quite motivational: "It gives me great joy to know that through the efforts and support of many dedicated people over the years, we are enjoying over 45 years as a successful full-time racing facility and look forward to many more years in the business."
