Sandra Oh, best known for her roles as Eve Polastri in Killing Eve and Dr. Christina Yang in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy, provides the voice of Ming. Oh has also appeared in Raya and the Last Dragon, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Amazon’s animated series Invincible, and Netflix’s The Chair.

Mei's companion Priya is an Indo-Canadian with deadpan line delivery. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, best known for portraying Devi in the Netflix comedy Never Have I Ever, provides the voice of Priya. The series has been renewed for season 3 and season 4, which will be it's last.

Mei's Korean-Canadian buddy Abby always has her back and believes the red panda-like Mei is adorable. Hyein Park, a storyboard artist for Pixar who has worked on movies like Toy Story 4, and the short film Bao, and Soul, provides the voice of Abby. She made her voice-acting debut in Becoming Red.
