The final chapter of the excellent trilogy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, establishes it as the MCU's strongest entry. James Gunn may be shifting his focus to DC, but his final gift to Marvel is a reminder of its potential. Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 were released in 2014 and 2017, respectively, making this movie a long time coming. The writer-director James Gunn was sacked in July 2018 when some contentious comments from years prior reappeared, but it was later announced in March 2019 that he had been reengaged for the project, which contributed to the film's development standstill. Let's take a look at Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 Release Date and Spoilers!
#1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Release Date (May 5)
The Guardians of the Galaxy have joined forces with the Avengers to fight Thanos after their previous solo adventure, and they then took a brief detour with Thor. However, if you haven't seen Thor: Love and Thunder, it doesn't really matter where they went. The plot line left hanging from the fourth Thor movie, in which the Guardians of the Galaxy went out to assist other planets that had lost their gods, is not continued in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. Instead, Vol 3 continues where the Holiday Special left off, with Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) still grieving the death of Gamora (Zoe Saldaa).
Synopsis: According to Rotten Tomatoes, Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

#2. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Spoilers! (Critics' Review)
Source: High on Cinema
Marvel Studios needs a victory to launch Phase 5 after the underwhelming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the claims against Jonathan Majors, and the departure of longtime producer Victoria Alonso make it difficult to say the studio is in crisis.
Fortunately, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 was able to accomplish that. Even though the billion-dollar threshold eluded both of the previous films, they were both critical and commercial successes, and while anticipation for Vol 3 has been relatively low so far, we expect that it will rise in the coming weeks.

According to Brian Tallerico on Rorber Eberd, the villain is a bit underwritten and he also emphasised on how the song "Creep" is used in the movie. "Vol 3 opens with Rocket Racoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) listening to “Creep” by Radiohead. In another film filled with clever needle drops, it’s a tone-setter. Rocket sees himself as the weirdo, the creep, but the movie will teach him that he’s so f-ing special, of course.", "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a reminder that the best blockbusters don’t just sing along to a well-known tune like “Creep”; they make the song their own. After all, we’re all the weirdos. And Gunn would say that makes us all pretty f-ing special too.", he wrote.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is also considered a really humorous yet emotional movie according to other critics. Ashley Sauders wrote on Ashley and Company "Bradley Cooper has always done an incredible job conveying Rocket's complex emotions. Whether he was being snarky, exasperated, or genuinely in pain. For Volume 3 he is joined by Sean Gunn (Young Rocket) and Noah Raskin (Baby Rocket) to recount Rocket's traumatic upbringing. The way he finds joy with his friends contrasts starkly with the abuse. All three of these actors do heavy lifting in these scenes, with Cooper carrying almost the entire emotional weight of the film in his shoulders. Rocket is the shining star in this and it has never been more clear that this franchise was Rocket's story all along."
About the ending? Critics agree that the ending is satisfying and perfect. "All in all, Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the perfect ending to James Gunn‘s trilogy – a funny, emotional ride which gives every character a moment in the spotlight and concludes their storylines in an immensely satisfying way. If this is the last time we see the Guardians, this is a fitting concluding volume.", Pete Messum shared on Critical Popcorn.
